Objectif Intégration session

Objectif Intégration sessions are intended for immigrants. The sessions last a total of 24 hours and are given in French during the day in Montréal, Laval, Longueuil (borough of Saint-Hubert), Québec City and Gatineau.

Objectif Intégration sessions address democratic values and the Québec values expressed by the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms, as well as the cultural codes in use and the legal framework in the world of work.

Eligibility

Most people 18 years of age and older with an immigration status can attend an Objectif Intégration session free of charge. This condition also applies to temporary workers (work permits for at least 1 year) and foreign students (permits for longer than 6 months). To obtain the list of eligibility criteria for the Objectif Intégration session, please consult the Integration Accompaniment and Support Program.

Notice: Persons staying temporarily in Québec
Immigrants with a work or study permit must comply with the conditions related to their status. Failure to comply with the conditions of their stay may result in the refusal of a future application to stay in Québec or elsewhere in Canada. It is the immigrant’s responsibility to be aware of the conditions pertaining to their status and to comply with them. For more information, please contact Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

Attestation

Effective January 1, 2020, applicants for economic immigration and family members who accompany them to Québec must demonstrate their understanding of democratic values and the Québec values expressed by the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms. One way to do this is by participating in an Objectif Intégration session. Various conditions apply, depending on your status when you apply for permanent selection.

An attestation of participation and learning about democratic values and the Québec values expressed by the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms will be awarded to any immigrant who participates in a full Objectif Intégration session.

This new condition is effective January 1, 2020. Once obtained, the attestation of learning is valid for a two-year period.

Participation allowance

Participants who attend the Objectif Intégration session, in its entirety and starting on January 20, 2020, may receive a participation allowance of $185 if they are eligible. This allowance is paid only once for the same person. To obtain the list of eligibility criteria for participation allowance, please consult the Integration Accompaniment and Support Program.

All applications for financial assistance for Objectif Intégration participation allowance must be submitted using the form (French only) provided by the Ministère for this purpose.
