Who is the Mon projet Québec online tool for?

The tool is only for applicants who have submitted an application for a Certificat de sélection du Québec (Québec selection certificate) or received an invitation from the Ministère to submit an application for permanent selection under the Regular Skilled Worker Program since December 31, 2015.

Can the tool be used by applicants who wish to submit a new application under the Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP)?

In order to be able to submit a new application under the RSWP via Mon projet Québec, applicants who wish to immigrate to Québec must first submit an expression of interest on the Arrima portal and receive an invitation from the Ministère.

Can the tool be used by applicants who wish to submit an application under the Programme de l’expérience Québécoise (PEQ – Québec experience program)?

l’expérience québécoise (PEQ - Québec experience program) must follow the instructions provided on the page Staying in Québec permanently. This page also contains the forms to be completed.

Do I need a high-speed Internet connection to access Mon projet Québec?

No. You do not need a high-speed Internet connection to access Mon projet Québec.

Is my Mon projet Québec account secure?

Yes, Mon projet Québec is a secure space.

Is it possible to create a new account in Mon projet Québec?

It is no longer possible to create an account in Mon projet Québec. Only applicants who have already submitted an application for a Certificat de sélection du Québec (Québec selection certificate) or who have received an invitation from the Ministère after having submitted an expression of interest can access their account.

Can I complete my application using a tablet or cell phone?

No, please complete your application for a selection certificate using a Windows or MAC computer.

2. Completing, submitting, and updating an application online

If I am residing temporarily in Québec or I have a job offer validated by the Ministère, can I submit an application at any time?

No, because of the new provisions in the new Québec Immigration Regulation, you must receive an invitation from the Ministère to be able to submit an application for permanent selection. To do so, you must submit an expression of interest on the Arrima portal.

Can I update my application online once it has been submitted?

After you submit your application, you will receive a message in your mailbox informing you of when it will be possible for you to update your application online.

Upon receipt of this message, you will be able to:

  • Update your contact information
  • Add or remove a spouse or dependent child
  • Add one or more diplomas or attestations of results of French or English proficiency tests recognized by the Ministère
  • Update information on the members of your family residing in Québec

Once this message has been received and as long as your application is not being processed, you will be able to access your account at any time to update your application.

3. Application processing

What is the processing time for application submitted via Mon projet Québec?

Processing time may vary depending on a number of factors:

  • Selection objectives by geographic area and immigration category
  • Volume of applications received
  • International situation
  • Whether the documents submitted are compliant
  • How fast you respond to requests from the Ministère
  • Wait time for proof of your French-language skills
  • Wait time for an invitation to a selection interview

You can view the status of your application in Mon projet Québec. You will receive an email when the Ministère starts processing your application.

How do I send the documents necessary for processing an online application?

When the Ministère is ready to process your application, you will receive a message by email. You will be asked to provide documents as needed when we review your application.

4. Technical Support

What happens if I lose or forget my password?

If you lose or forget your password, you must enter your email address and answer the three security questions you answered when you created your account. You will have three chances to answer each of these questions correctly. If you answer your three questions correctly, a temporary password will be emailed to you automatically; you must change it the next time you connect to Mon project Québec. However, if you incorrectly answer one of the questions three times, your account will be locked.

Once your account is locked, an automatic unlocking system is put in place. Wait a few hours before accessing your account again.

Why is Mon projet Québec not accessible during technical maintenance?

5. Virtual waiting room

How long can I stay in my account?

When you connect to your account, you normally have a maximum of one hour to complete or change your application. When this time runs out, the session will expire.

What is the meaning of my number in the virtual waiting room?

This is your arrival number in the waiting room.

To track your progress through the virtual waiting room, please refer to the number of users ahead of you. Note that this number is posted for information purposes only.

6. English and French tests

When I enter the result of my language test in the appropriate field, I am informed that it is invalid because the field can only contain whole numbers. The result of my language test contains decimal numbers. What do I do in this case?

Enter the whole number, without the decimal and without rounding up. For example: 15.5 = 15.

What should I do if I have taken more than one language test?

In the language competency section (French and English), you must enter all your results.
