Programme de l’expérience québécoise (PEQ – Québec experience program) — Applying for permanent selection

The Programme de l’expérience québécoise (PEQ – Québec experience program) enables the selection of skilled workers who wish to settle in Québec permanently. This program is intended for Québec graduates and temporary foreign workers who demonstrate good knowledge of spoken French. Candidates must have acquired work experience in Québec and be employed at the time they submit the application.

How it works

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Fill out the Application for Permanent Selection form
    First you must complete parts 1 and 2 of the Application for Permanent Selection — PEQ Temporary foreign worker component (in French only - PDF, 709 kB) or Québec graduate component (in French only - PDF, 1987 kB).

    Be sure to date and sign all the forms and declarations and keep all documents you submit to the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration.
  2. Prepare your documents
    You will find a list of supporting documents to be submitted with your application in Part 2 of the Application for Permanent Selection form. For each required document, scan all pages in colour and save in PDF (Portable Document Format). Make sure they are legible, complete, and accurate.
  3. Create an account on the Arrima platform
    Create your account in Arrima. If you already have one, connect to your existing account.
  4. Submit your Application for Permanent Selection in Arrima
    Here are the steps to follow:
    1. Provide information about the family members who will accompany you.
    2. Upload your supporting documents and your Application for Permanent Selection form.
    3. Pay the required fees.
    4. Submit your file.

    Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation of receipt in Arrima.

Relevant information

  • Arrima is free. You do not need to use the paid services of an individual to submit the documents. If you decide to use the paid services of an individual, make sure that this person is a representative authorized by the Ministère.
  • Any communication issued by the Ministère regarding your application for permanent selection will be done through your Arrima account. You will receive an email notification when a message has been sent to the message centre of your Arrima account. Only the Certificats de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec selection certificates), where applicable, will continue to be sent by mail.
  • Beware of unscrupulous individuals posing as government representatives. With regard to this, consult our Notice on Internet fraud.
