Programme de l’expérience québécoise (PEQ – Québec experience program)

Important :
Since November 1, 2019, Québec graduates can submit an application for permanent selection under the Programme de l’expérience québécoise (PEQ – Québec experience program). Temporary foreign workers can continue submitting an application.

Effective November 14, 2019, the selection conditions of the PEQ which had prevailed before November 1, 2019 are re-established. Consult the news.

Effective January 1, 2020, a new selection condition regarding the learning of democratic values and the Québec values expressed by the Charter of human rights and freedoms applies to all economic immigration programs. For more details, see the page about the attestation of learning about democratic values and the Québec values.

The Programme de l’expérience québécoise (PEQ – Québec Experience Program) is an accelerated program for selecting skilled workers, which allows individuals to obtain a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec selection certificate) with a view to gaining permanent residence. This program is intended for Québec graduates or future graduates and temporary foreign workers who are employed and who meet certain conditions, including demonstrating advanced intermediate knowledge of oral French.

The Programme de l’expérience québécoise does not involve a selection grid and does not take into account the characteristics of the spouse or de facto spouse.

If you hold a post-graduation work permit, you can apply for permanent selection as a graduate or temporary foreign worker based on the selection conditions that are most advantageous for you, using the appropriate form.
