Reception and information to help you settle in

As soon as you arrive, an agent will welcome you and explain the first steps you need to take.

  • You will receive all the information you need to obtain a health insurance card, a social insurance number, a driver’s license and other important documents.
  • Your needs will be assessed as well as those of your family members. You will then be referred to the appropriate integration assistance services.
  • You can enrol in a group information session on the region’s socioeconomic realities.
  • You can enrol in a French course.
  • If you are settling in Québec City, you can enrol in an information session offered by the municipality.
  • If applicable, you will have an opportunity to make an appointment in order to obtain a comparative evaluation of your studies.
