2017-2019 Call for Proposals

A call for proposals from municipalities was made on January 27, 2017, in order to establish new agreements under the Mobilisation-Diversité program.

Recognizing the capacity of communities to take action, the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion is seeking to implement new partnership approaches with regional county municipalities (MRCs) and community players with the goal of building more welcoming and inclusive communities.

This approach is highlighted in the Politique québécoise en matière d’immigration, de participation et d’inclusion (Québec policy on immigration, participation and inclusion), Ensemble, nous sommes le Québec and its 2016-2021 action strategy. It focuses on the leadership role MRCs can play in working in concert with and mobilizing local players.

In accordance with this approach, the Ministère wants to conclude agreements with MRCs that:

  • are mobilized and have chosen to focus on diversity and immigration as a means to prosperity
  •  are committed to working in concert with local actors
  • offer genuine employment opportunities
  • propose measures that will ensure effective action

Eligible organizations

Regional county municipalities (MRCs) and, exceptionally, other players, such as local municipalities.

The Ministère could also accept a joint proposal from several MRCs if they are able to demonstrate the need for concerted action on common issues.
