Changes to the Entrepreneur Program

Montreal, March 31, 2021 - Nadine Girault, Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie, Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration and Minister responsible for the Laurentians, today announced the publication in the Gazette officielle du Québec and the simultaneous coming into force of a regulation amending the Regulation respecting immigration to Quebec with respect to Stream 2 of the Entrepreneur Program, which relates to the creation or acquisition of a business. The changes are aimed at removing the requirement for start-up and security deposits. They will apply to applications received until November 1, 2020. It should be remembered that the reception of new applications under stream 2 of the Entrepreneur program has been suspended since that date, until November 1, 2021.
