Submitting documents — Application for temporary selection for studies

Are you a foreign student who submitted an application for selection for studies?

After completing and submitting an online application, you must send documents as proof. The Arrima platform allows you to submit these supporting documents electronically. Please note that you must have paid the required fees online in order to continue with the next steps.

How does it work?

These are the steps to follow:

  1. Prepare your documents
Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a checklist on the portal Online application for temporary selection for studies. You will find a list of the supporting documents to be submitted on Arrima. Make sure that every page of the same documents has been digitized in one file and saved in PDF (Portable Document Format). The documents must be legible, complete and accurate.
  2. Access your file number
48 hours after submitting your Online application for temporary selection for studies, you will receive, in the section “Access my file,” a file number that you will need to submit your documents in Arrima.
  3. Create your account on the Arrima platform
When creating your profile on Arrima, make sure to indicate the same first and last names that appear on your passport, that is, the first and last names entered when submitting your application on the portal Online application for temporary selection for studies.

If you already have an account on the Arrima platform, connect to your existing account.
  4. Submit your documents on Arrima
Follow the instructions in order to proceed with the submission of your documents. Once the documents have been submitted, a notification will be sent by e-mail and, in the Arrima message centre, there will be a message confirming that the documents have been submitted.

A tutorial (in French only) has been specially designed to facilitate your experience using Arrima and to help you with the submission of your documents.

Foreign Student Program

The Foreign Student Program allows international students to come to Québec to study in a designated educational institution. This is a program in which responsibilities are shared between Québec and Canada.

To follow a training program lasting more than six months, you must submit an application for temporary selection for studies.

Once you have received the letter confirming the Minister’s consent for you to stay in Québec as a foreign student, you must complete the steps for obtaining a study permit from the Government of Canada.
