  USEFUL INFORMATION

Driver's license temporary workers
Stay of less than six months: Temporary workers may drive a vehicle with a license from their country of provenance. However, if the license is written in a language other than French or English, it is preferable to also have an international driver’s license.

Stay of six to twelve months: Temporary workers can drive a vehicle with a license from their country of provenance, but must also have an international driver’s license.

The international driver's license is a translation into several languages, including French and English, of the vehicle classes that the holder of the license is authorized to drive. The international driver's license is not valid unless accompanied by a valid driver's license and issued by the same jurisdiction.

Stay of more than twelve months: You are strongly urged to obtain a Québec driver’s license.
