Fees, payment methods and processing times

The fees charged to review an application for a Certificat de sélection du Québec are as follows:

Fees in effect

January 1, 2018
Principal applicant C$785
Spouse or de facto spouse C$168
Each dependent child C$168

The required fees must be paid in full, in Canadian currency only, by you or by a third party. These fees are non-refundable even if your application is refused or rejected.

1 The increase affects the fees payable under An Act Respecting Immigration to Québec, the Regulation respecting immigration consultants and the Regulation respecting the selection of foreign nationals as well as the fees for an Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec (comparative evaluation for studies done outside Québec). The 0,82% adjustment corresponds to the increase in Québec’s consumer price index for the period ending on September 30, 2017. It respects the requirements of Section 83.3 of the Québec government’s Financial Administration Act.

Payment methods

Only the following payment methods are accepted:

  • certified cheque drawn on a Canadian bank;
  • cheque issued by a Canadian company;
  • Canada Post money order;
  • bank draft drawn on a Canadian bank.

For applications for a Certificat de sélection du Québec submitted before December 31, 2015, you must complete the Payment by credit card form if you are requesting the addition of a spouse or a child to your immigration file.

Be sure to indicate on the reverse side of the cheque your name of the applicant in block letters. Payment in cash, by personal cheque or by traveller’s cheque is not accepted.
