Applying for a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec selection certificate)

As a foreign student, Québec graduate or temporary worker in Québec, you can apply for a CSQ in the skilled worker class. However, you must be age 18 or older and, if you are presently studying, you must intend to enter the Québec labour market in the short term.

Programme de l’expérience québécoise (PEQ – Québec experience program) (simplified process)

PEQ – Québec graduate
This program is aimed at you if you have obtained an eligible Québec diploma, or you are in the process of doing so, and you have a knowledge of oral French.

PEQ – Temporary worker
This program applies to you if you are currently employed, if you have held a skilled job in Québec for at least 12 of the last 24 months and if you have a knowledge of spoken French.

Regular selection program for skilled workers

This program assesses your socio-occupational characteristics based on ten factors and also takes into account the characteristics of your spouse or de facto spouse included in your application.

Regular program – Foreign student in Québec
The regular program is aimed at you if you are pursuing or have successfully completed a study program in Québec.

Regular program – Temporary worker
The regular program is aimed at you if you were legally admitted to Québec as a temporary worker for a total period of at least one year.
