Fees and method of payment

  NOTE

Be on your guard if you are asked to enter your file number on a website. In fact, the Ministère will never ask you to enter your file number on its website, except on secure platforms for an online application for a Québec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) for studies or an online application for a Québec selection certificate (CSQ) under the Regular Skilled Worker Program (Mon projet Québec).

Fees

The fees required must be paid in full, in Canadian currency only, by you or by a third party, at the time the application is dropped off or mailed. These fees are not reimbursed, even if your application is refused.

C$194

Application for a Certificate of Acceptance for Temporary Work

The fees levied by the Gouvernement du Québec for processing an Application for Certificate of Acceptance for Temporary Work per foreign worker are :

Fees in effect

As of January 1, 20171
Temporary worker
C$194

The payment must be sent at the same time as the application form. These fees can be paid by the employer or the worker.

1 The increase affects the fees payable under An Act Respecting Immigration to Québec, the Regulation respecting immigration consultants and the Regulation respecting the selection of foreign nationals as well as the fees for an Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec (comparative evaluation for studies done outside Québec). The 0,74% adjustment corresponds to the increase in Québec’s consumer price index for the period ending on September 30, 2016. It respects the requirements of Section 83.3 of the Québec government’s Financial Administration Act.

Method of payment

Only the following payment methods are accepted:

  • credit card (if you mail in your application, you must fill in the form Payment by credit card, sign it and attach it to your application);
  • certified cheque drawn on a Canadian bank;
  • cashier’s cheque;
  • cheque issued by a Canadian company;

Be sure to indicate on the reverse side of the cheque the name of the applicant in block letters. Payment in cash, by personal cheque or by traveller’s cheque is not accepted.

If your credit card payment is refused, the Ministère will not contact you to advise you of the refusal and your entire file will be returned to you by regular mail.
