Fees, payment methods and processing times

Fees

The fees charged to examine an CSQ application are as follows:

Fees in effect since January 1, 2013
Principal applicant
C$750
Spouse or de facto spouse
C$160
Each dependent child
C$160

 

These fees are not refundable nor deductible from fees charged by the Canadian visa office.

IMPORTANT

The fees required must be paid in full, in Canadian currency only, by you or by a third party, at the time the application is dropped off or mailed. These fees are not reimbursed, even if your application is refused.

 

Payment methods

Only the following payment methods are accepted:

  • credit card (if you mail in your application, you must fill in the form Payment by credit card, sign it and attach it to your application);
  • certified cheque drawn on a Canadian bank;
  • cashier’s cheque;
  • cheque issued by a Canadian company;
  • Canada Post money order;
  • bank draft drawn on a Canadian bank.

 

ATTENTION

Cheques must made payable to the Ministre des Finances du Québec and must include, on the reverse side, the name of the applicant in block letters.
