Conditions and procedure

When to apply

As a future Québec graduate, you may submit your application for permanent selection no earlier than six months before the date on which you expect to receive your attestation of successful completion or diploma eligible under the Programme de l’expérience québécoise (PEQ – Québec Experience Program) and no later than 36 months after receipt. However, the Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec selection certificate) will be issued to you only when you submit your complete and final transcript accompanied by an attestation of successful completion or your diploma.

You can apply to the PEQ from Québec or abroad.

If you are a Québec graduate and have held a skilled job for at least 12 months, e.g., under a post-graduation work permit, you can apply to the PEQ as either a Québec graduate or a skilled temporary foreign worker, depending on the selection conditions that are the most advantageous for you. However, be sure to use the appropriate form.
