MICC partner organizations

Various community organizations contribute to the welcoming and integration of immigrants. They understand very well the difficulties that immigrants face getting settled and can recommend concrete solutions. Community workers who speak your language can assist you with your proceedings and provide a range of services, depending on your needs: personalized support services, information, referrals, translation and help finding housing. The government financially supports these independent organizations which it considers to be partners in its activities.

  PRACTICAL ADVICE
  • When you contact an employee of the Ministry or of any other government or non-government agency, note the name of the person you speak to, his or her phone number and the name of his or her service unit. This will make future contacts easier.
  • Before going to a Ministry or other government office, check their business hours. In many cases, you will have to make an appointment.
  • If you cannot yet communicate easily in French, have someone accompany you as an interpreter.
