Bringing your spouse or children to QuébecRefugees are usually accompanied by their family members upon their arrival in Québec. In certain cases, however, family members may be unable to travel together. If you are in this situation, the members of your family who were left behind may be able to join you in Québec at a later date, provided certain conditions are met. The One-Year Window of Opportunity Provisions enable family members to be reunited provided an application for permanent residence, under the same category as yours, is filed within one year of your date of arrival in Canada. Family members include:
These family members must have been previously identified in your application
for permanent residence as well as in your Certificat de sélection du
Québec (CSQ – Québec Selection Certificate) application.
