Taking steps to integrate successfully into Québec

As soon as you receive your CSQ, you will have access to a wider range of services to facilitate your integration. These services are offered by the Ministry, its institutional partners and community organizations:

• Full-time French classes for non-French-speakers
• Health insurance covered by the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ)
• Information service on regulated professions and trades
• Directory of services offered by community organizations
• Free pre-school, primary and secondary school education and exemption from differential fees for foreign students at CEGEP and university (Education section)
• Access to reduced-contribution daycare services (Education section)
• Canada Child Tax Benefit and the Québec Child Assistance Program, under certain conditions.

You can meet with a Ministry officer for details regarding all of these services. This person will register you for the information sessions and refer you to the appropriate resources.
