Obtaining a Certificat de sélection du Québec

Has your status as a refugee or humanitarian-protected person just been recognized? Are you living in Québec? Begin the procedure to obtain a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec Selection Certificate) as soon as possible. Among other things, this document will give you access to a wider range of government services.

Read the form sent to you by the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) to apply for a CSQ. It provides instructions on how to fill in the application form and the list the required supporting documents. Read these instructions carefully.

If you have not received these documents, download the form Application for Selection Certificate – Individual in particular crisis situation – Protected person on-site and family members.

There is no fee to process your application.

If the members of your family (spouse or children) are still abroad and you intend to bring them to Québec, make sure you list them beforehand in your CSQ application form.
