Information sessions, training sessions and individual meetings

To make it easier for you to get settled and participate fully in the life of Québec, you can take advantage of free information sessions and training sessions as well as individual meetings.

Group information sessions for French-speaking immigrants

Group information sessions are designed for French-speaking immigrants. They are offered in Montréal and other regions in Québec, depending on demand.

  • Getting established (2- to 4-hour session): looking for housing (information and referrals), introduction to the health and education systems, municipal services, public transportation, postal service and banking system, all of which are topics related to everyday life.
  • Living together in Québec  (1.5- to 2-hour session): presentation of the common values of Québec society and how they shape the daily lives of Quebecers.

  • Knowledge of life and employment in Québec's regions (3 hours session offered in Montréal): quality of life, services offered to immigrants, socio-economic conditions and employment opportunities – calendar.

Information sessions for French-speaking immigrants

Information sessions are designed for newcomers to Québec. They are offered in Montréal and other regions of Québec, depending on demand.

  • Adapting to Québec’s world of work (21-hour session with seven 3-hour modules): information on the mechanisms of Québec’s job market, cultural codes in the workplace, the rules of Québec businesses and how they function. Offered only in French, training includes simulation exercises, theoretical presentations, discussions and case studies.

Individual meetings in various languages

  • Your integration (45-minute personalized meeting with a reception officer):

    • steps for getting settled and services available
    • general information on Québec and your region of destination.
