Fees and payment methods

Fees

Application processing fees are updated in January of each year. Carefully check the fees payable to ensure that your application is not returned to you without being processed.

The fees levied by the Québec government to process an undertaking application are as follows:

Fees in effect as of
January 1, 20191
Number of sponsored persons
Fees payable
1
C$284
2
C$398 ($284 + $114)
3
C$512 ($284 + $114 + $114)

As of January 1, 2019, you must allow $284 for the principal sponsored person and $114 for each additional person.

If you are only sponsoring minor children, and if you must complete a sponsorship application for each child, you will pay $284 for the first sponsored child, and $114 for each additional child.

Example:
First child: $284 plus 2 children ($114 + $114 = $228) = $512

The required fees must be paid in full, in Canadian currency only, by you or by a third party, when the application is dropped off or mailed. These fees are not refundable, even if your application is refused.

1 The increase affects the fees payable under An Act respecting immigration to Québec, as well as the fees required to apply for an Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec (comparative evaluation for studies done outside Québec). The 1.71% adjustment corresponds to the increase in Québec’s consumer price index for the period ending on September 30, 2018. It complies with Section 83.3 of the Financial Administration Act.
