Fees and payment methods

Application processing fees are updated in January of each year. Carefully check the fee amount to ensure that your application is not returned to you without being processed.

The fees levied by the Québec government to process an undertaking application are as follows:

Fees since January 1, 20181
Number of sponsored persons
C$391 ($279 + $112)
C$503 ($279 + $112 +$112)

You must allow $279 for the principal sponsored person and $112 for each additional person. If you are only sponsoring minor children, and if you must complete a sponsorship application for each child, you will pay $279 for the first sponsored child, and $112 for each additional child.

First child: $279 plus 2 children ($112 + $112 = $224) = $503

The fees must be paid in full, in Canadian currency only, by you or by a third party, at the time the application is dropped off or mailed. These fees are not refundable even if your application is refused.

1 The increase affects the fees payable under An Act Respecting Immigration to Québec, the Regulation respecting immigration consultants and the Regulation respecting the selection of foreign nationals as well as the fees for an Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec (comparative evaluation for studies done outside Québec). The 0,82% adjustment corresponds to the increase in Québec’s consumer price index for the period ending on September 30, 2017. It respects the requirements of Section 83.3 of the Québec government’s Financial Administration Act.
