Admission

You are eligible to take French courses if you:

• have been living in Canada for five years or less
• live in Québec
• lack sufficient knowledge of French for everyday life or work
• are 16 years of age or older
• have an immigration status that allows you to take courses.

Following your admission, an evaluation of your French proficiency may be required.

You will meet an evaluator from the Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles (MICC). He will establish the level at which you will begin the language classes.

An application form can also be obtained at one of the following locations:

• the registraire et services à la clientèle (Francisation)
• certain francization partners of the MICC
• the Immigration-Québec service in your region
• the local employment centre (centre local d’emploi - CLE) in your neighborhood
• offices of Emploi-Québec.
