Undertaking application - Sponsors and sponsored persons

The undertaking application is a contract that binds the sponsor with respect to the person being sponsored and the gouvernement du Québec.

The gouvernement du Québec establishes the scales used to evaluate the sponsor’s financial capacity and determines the length of the undertaking. It also ensures compliance with the terms of the undertaking.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Before submitting an undertaking application to the gouvernement du Québec, the sponsor must first present his or her sponsorship application to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). If it is deemed admissible, the sponsor can then continue the process by submitting an undertaking application to the Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles (MICC).

Use the undertaking application kit that applies to your situation. See the procedure for presenting your undertaking application at the section Sponsors and sponsored - Undertaking application.
