Undertaking application – Sponsors and sponsored persons

NOTICE : On December 1, 2016, a new undertaking application form – family class – will be put online. This new form must be used for all applications submitted as of this date.

The undertaking application for the Family Class is a contract that binds you as sponsor (guarantor) to the person being sponsored and the Québec government. This application is submitted once you have received a favourable judgment from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada regarding your sponsorship application.

The gouvernement du Québec establishes the scales used to evaluate the sponsor’s financial capacity and determines the length of the undertaking. It also ensures compliance with the terms of the undertaking.

Use the undertaking application kit that applies to your situation.
