Regulated vocational qualifications

In order to ensure the security of workers and the public, certain vocational qualifications are regulated. Therefore, the law stipulates that workers must hold the necessary certificates of qualification in order to perform certain regulated tasks, and that employers must ensure that employees hold the certificates set out in the regulations.

Certificates of qualification are required in the following fields:

  • Blasting (mining and seismic survey category)
  • Drinking water treatment and distribution
  • Electricity
  • Elevator mechanics
  • Gas installation and handling (natural gas and propane)
  • Handling of halocarbons
  • Pipe fitting
  • Pressure installations
  • Pressure vessel inspection
  • Pressure vessel welding
  • Stationary engines mechanics
  • Technical process piping
