Training program

• In the Québec education system, completion of this program requires 3 years of technical training, representing a total of 14 years of study.
• This training leads to three occupations with good prospects for employment integration in Québec. They are:

Occupations

Mechanical engineering technologists and technicians (NOC 2232)

Main duties

• Mechanical engineering technicians provide technical support and services or may work independently in mechanical engineering fields such as the design, development, maintenance and testing of machines, components, tools, heating and ventilating systems, power generation and power conversion plants, manufacturing plants and equipment.
• Employers often require extensive knowledge of computer-aided design and drawing software (CAD).
