List of forms and documents to enclose with your official immigration application
IMPORTANT :
- Before submitting your application to the Québec
immigration office in Vienna, be sure to enclose all the
documents listed below for
both yourself and the persons accompanying you.
- The documents must be presented in the following order:
1. Application for a Québec Selection Certificate
2. Payment of fees required
3. Required appendices
- Depending on your situation, enclose the following documents with your
application:
- Declaration
by a candidate in a profession governed by a professional order
in
Québec (PDF,
71 Kb) – if you or your spouse practises or has the
training needed to practise a profession
governed by a professional order in Québec;
Note: Read the conditions for admission to a professional order before
submitting your application.
- Declaration
by a candidate
practicing
a regulated trade in
Québec (PDF, 133 Kb) – if
you or your spouse practises or has the training needed to
practise a regulated trade in Québec (construction
trades,
regulated vocational qualifications);
- Declaration
by a graduate of a medical school outside of Canada and the United
States (PDF, 85 Kb) – if
you or your spouse practises or has the training needed to
practise the profession of specialist physician, general practitioner
or family
physician;
- Declaration of a candidate practising the teaching profession in preschool, elementary school or secondary school (PDF,
49 Kb) – if
you or your spouse practises or has the training needed to
practise the profession of pre-school, primary or secondary school
teacher;
- Declaration
of a relative in Québec (PDF, 47 Kb) – if
you or your spouse mention, in your Application for
a Québec
selection certificate, the presence of a relative (spouse, de facto
spouse, father, mother,
son, daughter, brother, sister, grandfather or grandmother) currently
residing in Québec.
- De facto spouses must enclose official proof of marital
cohabitation for a period of at least one year prior to submitting the application. This
proof could be a copy of an official identity document bearing your address
(passport or identity card) for yourself and your spouse, a certificate of
residence issued by the police or municipality (commune), or an official
cohabitation certificate (certificat de concubinage).
4. Studies and training
- Enclose photocopies certified as true to the originals and official
translations in French or English of the following documents:
- your diplomas and certificates (excluding those pertaining to
primary studies), and those of your spouse, if any;
- academic transcripts for your university studies;
- your work certificates (work record book (livret de travail)
and/or certificate from employer) for the last five years and those
of your spouse, if any.
5. Other documents
- Enclose with your application:
- a photocopy of your curriculum vitæ (CV) and that of your
spouse; if any;
- stapled photocopies of identity pages from your passport and that
of each person accompanying you (with valid residence permits where
applicable);
- photocopies of your birth and marriage or divorce certificates,
and the birth certificates of each person accompanying you.
6. Proficiency in French or English
- To evaluate your language knowledge if neither French nor English is
your mother tongue, you can enclose documentary proof attesting to your proficiency
in French or English and, if applicable, that of your spouse.
- To demonstrate your French language knowledge and speed up the processing of your application, enclose with your Application for a Selection Certificate an attestation relative to either one of the two tests recognized by the Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles (MICC) for assessing French language knowledge – either
- You can also submit an attestation for: the Diplôme d’études en langue française (DELF), the Diplôme approfondi de langue française (DALF), the Test de connaissance de français (TCF) or the Test d’évaluation du français (TEF). If you choose the TCF or the TEF, you must enclose an attestation of the results of both the oral comprehension test (mandatory test) and the oral expression test (optional test). Please consult the table (in French - PDF, 54 Kb) for a detailed description of these French tests.
- To establish your English language knowledge, please enclose with your
application the necessary documentary proof for yourself and your spouse,
where applicable. This proof could be the results of a recognized evaluation
test, such as IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC and Cambridge tests.
- You may also enclose a document to prove that you have worked in English
or French.

8. Family relationships in Québec
- If a member of your family resides in Québec (spouse,
de facto spouse, father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, grandfather
or grandmother),
staple the following to your Declaration
of a relative in Québec (PDF, 47 Kb):
- a copy of his or her permanent residence card, Canadian passport
or Canadian citizenship card;
- a copy of his or her latest notice of assessment for provincial
income tax, or a copy of a lease (in the case of a tenant) or copy
of a property tax statement (in the case of an owner);
- a copy of the document proving your kinship to this family member
(official family record book (livret de famille), etc.
IMPORTANT :
All copies requested (except those in Point 5) must be authenticated by
the institution which holds the original or by a legal authority duly authorized
to certify as true the copy of a document. The documents must be accompanied
by an official translation into French or English if they are in another
language. The originals must be available on request or be presented during
the interview, if any.
If you fail to send the copies and translations of all requested documents,
your application will not be processed.
