Information about the Application for a Selection Certificate – Permanent workers
On 21 March 2012, the Minister of Immigration and Cultural Communities has come to a decision regarding the intake of applications for selection certificates (in French, 167 Kb). Pursuant to the decision, the Minister determines the maximum number of applications that some skilled worker candidates will be allowed to submit between March 21, 2012 and March 31, 2013. Before proceeding any further, make sure you have duly completed:
Please note as well that, to prove your language proficiency, you must provide the results of a standardized test, even if French or English is your mother tongue. Then gather together and enclose:
Send all of these documents to the Bureau d’immigration du Québec à Hong Kong (BIQ - Québec immigration office in Hong Kong) To request a change to your application for a selection certificate or that of your spouse, complete the Change to an application for a selection certificate (Dynamic PDF, 82 Kb) form and return it to us along with the necessary documents within 30 days after the change. For information about processing times, see the section Permanent workers – Processing times. Please note that due to the rising number of applications we have received, the time required to send you the letter confirming the opening of your file may exceed the usual period of 30 working days. The ministère will send you the said letter as soon as your file is opened.
